I have had the greatest success smothering the aiptasia in kalkwasser paste. A search for kalk paste will bring up tons of threads.
I think the water change will help out a lot. Test kits are real funky. Try not to disturb the scape too much and add more stress to the little guy....
That would make sense, how much kalk paste can you put in a 75 at once? I have only ever used a tiny bit twice on an aiptasia.
