You can always add more LR to the sump if it is too much for your tank. LR is the house for millions of little beneficial bacteria that break down...
I agree with what pack leader said. Just top off your aquarium with mix saltwater each day until target salinity is reached. I wouldn't add salt...
Do you have anything in the tank besides LR? I would premix the salt first in RO water and then add it directly to the tank if there isn't any...

I have 30 buckets and two 30 gallon bins(1 for sand and one for fish) Would you suggest keeping the sand in the bottom or would it be way to heavy

You can't see the red dot but it is located at the bottom of the thing and it has one little spike too
