try twice a month on water changes to see if that helps....it will end soon,its just another algae cycle
they grow real fast when small then slow down a little at 4 inches....kind of like a baby
anemones are hardier than you think....i got mine (LTA)when the tank(28g) was a month old,it was the size of a cheesburger now its 2ft in diameter...
i used reefcleaners for a CUC and they are really good
boiling water kills them fast and they wont grow back,aptasia is a different story
if you like them leave them....even if they are majanos they wont spread over night....ive had a little patch of 10 green ones that "i think" look...

ive had a blue tang and yellow tang in my 75 for almost 2 years.....the yellow has taken a while to grow(only 1 inch in 2 years) hes only 3.5-4...
