    Yes you can if you put sand and algae make sure it does not get into your return pump. You might want to put some baffles in or section the sump off...

    Thanks guys thats a bit of in site. I guess I will put a DSB in my fuge and just put enough in my main tank so I don't have a bare bottom. :cheesy:

    Get a longnose Hawk instead. They don't have that big a mouth. They do however jump so make sure he does not jump out of the top of your tank.
