    Not necessarily. He could have hitch-hiked in on another specimen or some live rock and just moved onto the coral at the distributor/LFS/etc.

    Keep 'em, IMO. There are certain variations of asterina that will eat corals, but most just eat film algae or coralline. Unless you see them...

    It can be. But the fact that its got a firm hold on the rock, isn't gaping and is regaining color are all excellent signs of a recovery, IMO.
