I used the polarized glasses+Laptop screen method on my new tank and none of the pane appear abnormal... now i just have to wait for my new drill bit.
I just found another 29 gallon tank... it appears to be "Perfecto" brand - can anyone tell me whether or not this tank is made of tempered glass?...

Yes, i'll admit it was a noob mistake; it was not an expensive tank so I assumed it was standard glass.
They have a 35mm bit at BRS for a very good price, I think I'll try that. I just tried to drill the other side for practice sake, but it shattered...
Also, when you say go slow, how long is it meant to take to drill through a tank this size?
