Take the entire tank apart??! I'm just re-sealing it, not repairing a broken pannel.
It sure was! I guess I'll stick with the trim and use a real silicone to secure it.
I appreciate all of your responses, but I am confused. 1. The trim does not support the tank in any way; it was held together with Gorilla glue....
I got some Pro Seal RTV 100% silicone from Grainger, but I don't know if its as good at sealing tanks as the GE RTV 108. Here's the link to the one I...
I think the tank is homemade (not by me). Also, the glass is 7/16" thick. I don't know if this is standard glass thickness of a 75 gallon.
There is no bottom brace on the tank. Where do you get the foam? Home Depot?
xmetalfan99- Yes, by rimless I mean no plastic trim. Sorry about that. The tank is currently empty and the trim is off. I really like the way it...
Nobody?
Can I safely turn my standard 75 gallon glass tank into a rimless tank? I would like to take both the rims off, but if I have to leave the bottom rim...

Sorry I haven't gotten those pics up yet; been busy. I'll try to get them up this week. :)
Thanks! When the picture was taken, I had an actinic bulb, but knew it served no purpose in plant growth, so I took it out. I put is back in a few...
That "Green Koolaid" is actually worm poop used as plant fertilizer. :D
Welcome! :)
Any pool supply store. Walmart may also have it, but I don't really shop there, so I can't tell you for sure.
Does it look like cyano, or red hair algae? I think I have the same stuff as you on one of my rocks. Its weird because it only grows on that one.
Try looking at SEN pumps. Not sure if they're quiet, but I'm thinking of getting one for my tank.
Thanks!
