    Along the same thinking... if I put a ball valve on the output pipings... wouldn't it cause the Mag 9.5/7 Pump to overheat since it is essential...

    On the tank that these corals were in, I think they were using Compact Flourescent... which is what I"m using, so I don't think it had anything to do...
