    Do you un-plug hardware when working in the tank?

    I was trying to put a valve in the return line and had to cut it... in case anyone cared to know why the syphon spilled over onto my power strip..

    Not usually, so far only once... I wish I wouldn't have..... Last week I unplugged my sump pump and the other end syphoned water back directly on top...
