Octopus is good. A NW110 should be fine for you. Are looking for an in the sump skimmer of hang on back of tank?
After reading the reviews from ASM link it seems the pump is prone to problems.
A cheap timer will stop you forgetting to turn the lights on and it will be better at keeping the times you have your lights on more uniform.
A very informative article, thanks.
Welcome, you've come to the right place, I've learned so much in my short time here.
Whatever they are, you've got some fine looking specimens there.
Line the bin with a large garbage bag just in case. I did this recently with a large garbage bin on wheels, but I don't know what your bins are like.
I bought my skimmer at a LFS in Sydney but I doubt that will help you because I'm assuming you are in America. I shopped around and got it for a good...
Octopus skimmers seem to be quite good. I've had mine for a few weeks now and am very happy with it. I think an Octopus NW-150 would suit your needs.

Mine took about a week to break in, so don't worry too much if it isn't foaming in a couple of days.
I decided to try the advice of BluePhish and szrazzt. I had to modify my return outlet to allow for a higher level of water in my sump without...
Apparently they are a good skimmer. I bought one a week a go and it is just starting to produce foam, so they can take a while to break in.
Yes I did, but not for long. I'll leave it off for a while and see how it goes. Thanks.
Thank you for the suggestion BluePhish but I am worried that if I have the water level any higher and my pump fails my sump will over flow. It is...
Thank you both for the replies and thank you for the link GuitarMan89, there are some great pictures there and it makes it even harder to decide on a...
