Anything to do with the old stuff?
Thanks - I think Im gonna bite the bullet on this one. Wish there was a way to use the LR again? If that method is not possible or time friendly...
What will this do to my LR? THanks
Looks like I am going to start over. At this point its not worth the chance, time, or money. :(
Would I need to scrub the diatom bloom off?
Didnt add soap when washing it out. Here is my plan of attach: 1. Buy dkh test kit on my way home and post results. 2. Do small water change...
30 gallons. How am I sure if the water is the cause?
Would it hurt to start doing small RO water changes to fix this?
I honestly dont know. LFS said it was to early to be of concern because its a new tank. I do understand that alk/dkh is directly affected by Ph. When...
I used snow valley bottled water (water quality is in my 2nd post).
After the drip I did let them adjust to the water temp again by floating the bad. I guess I was wrong that a diatom bloom meant the final stages...
I forgot to mention that I had them test for copper. It came back 0.
Update: LFS found Ph to be at 8.7. Im guessing this is what did it?
Amazing tank!! Any problems with humidity in the room? How many pounds of LR did you start with?
I am having the lfs test all water levels today. I will let you all know what they find and post the results.
They did move around then dropped off like flies. They literally fell off the glass.
Karma to you for that :)
There is good reef shop in Glen Burnie. House of tropics. I will have them test the water tomorrow when I bring the dead guys back.
I am using a API test kit. Following all the directions to a T. I also checked the kit and it was up to date.
I have an RO filter for water in my kitchen and plan on using that water for all future water changes. Whats TDS in the drinking water?
