i wouldn't worry about it, just keep it running for now, low maintenance, just kind of "wing it" dont' stress on water changes feedings maintenance...

those lights are decent actually, great for the price. however you will fall in love if you put new bulbs in there... they come with crap bulbs......

check out the Bubble Magus BMQQ HOB. quality skimmer, basically a deltec knockoff but about 1/8th the price... WAY cheaper, excellent build quality
