No, I measured the water with the salt mixed in the bucket (my freshly mixed that goes in the DT when I do water change).
I tested my saltwater premix that I use for water changes and the phosphate was the same reading (.25) that I get from my DT. What is going on? I...
Sounds good--I will swap out the GFO more often and find a better test kit. Any suggestions? I only feed once a day and the food is usually...
I'm using API test kit and was told the BRS calculator was way too much--that I could cut it almost in half.
I put in around 10 tablespoons for my 65g with 29g sump and I'm using granulated.
I've been using GFO in my BRS reactor for a month now and my phosphates will not budge below .20. How long do I have to wait until the GFO kicks in?...
Consider building a sump--easier to solve the problem before the bubbles reach the DT. Other than that, not sure what else you can do.
Not sure what you can do with HOB models. In sump it's easier to control and stop before getting to the DT. Consider building a sump!
Is it in a sump or HOB?
Oh cool--let me know how you like them and post some pics. I'm excited to see how they work and look on a 65g!
OK--so I'd be looking at two of them for a 36in long tank I'm assuming? What degree are the LEDs? 40, 60?
Wow--that's crazy! I would love to get one of those. If I knew for sure I could mount them with legs or a bracket I'd seriously consider it. With...
Don't want to hijack the thread, but how controllable are the AIs? Once you get the color you want/percentage, etc, will they stay that way after...
OK--thanks. I know I probably could cut it out and attach an acrylic center brace, but if there isn't a noticeable difference then I won't go...
I have one blue/green chromis in my 65g now--could I add four more? Is five enough so they won't pick on each other and die?
Quick question for you--do you find the center brace leaving a shadow or affecting the light from your fixture? I am to go LEDs but my 65g has a...
My midas blenny is one of my favs. Great personality. Has his little rock hole he watches things, but an interesting swimmer in it's own right.
You may have to adjust with some testing, but I'm using Kent's Liquid Calcium which seems to be working.
So I could maybe just turn the percentage to kind of make them alternate? Like 80% power for 90 seconds, then 10% for 90?
Sounds good--how much control do you have with the amount of time they are actually on/off. My idea was two of them alternating every 90 seconds.
