Well I did a little work today, got a new top put on the stand as well as the sides put on with glue and finishing nails, I haven't done the front...
I think I'm going to go with a big thick trim on the bottom also and a smaller one up top with small trip to hide edges

Ya the skin honestly isn't too bad, ill get one 4x4 and two 2x4s probably a total of $32, already have glue and finishing nails, so other than that...

I thought about that and I didn't want it so I'm going to use some molding similar to baseboards and it will cover 3/4" of the tank, enough to hide...
I plan on having 2x4s near where the hinges need to be, so that wouldn't be an issue
