    How do you keep a Hippo Tang from getting ick all of the time???

    I've heard that hippos are ick magnets. Problem may be that you still have ick cysts in your main tank. Cleaner shrimp may help with the problem.

    Hard or Flexi?

    I prefer hard. Flexible tends to get hard over time & algae will grow inside of it if there's lots of light.

    Don't turn the actinics off at 9 am- keep them going until 7 pm or whenever you decide to shut them off. They should be run when the daylights are on.
