    the reading 1.028 it should read between 1.020 and 1.023...is that correct? as for tap water that is what i used to start the cycle the lfs told me...

    noted and thanks, my SG is too high...I will recheck it tomorrow and if its still the same i will take out some of the water and add TW to balance it...

    i clean all of the equipment with water only no soap or chemicals etc. is that okay. he had activated filter carbon like in a milk carton but not...

    what do you mean by sump? what do you mean by change ur media weekly? not sure what your tellin me with the use quilt batting cut into sections...
