My maroon usually stays in his spot most of the day unless I am feeding as well.
Most gobies do stay around the bottom of the tank I love my yellow watchman goby.

I have it. It took mine a real long time to settle out but it is very fine and very nice. I will try to post a pic of it when I am home from work.
