I would try Lowe's, some larger fish stores usually have a plumbing section where they may have it.
I personally like the rock in the middle, it looks unnatural now but once its covered in corailine algae and has some coral it will look nice....

It could be. I never knew why but I was always told that metal in any fish tank leads to problems. I would switch it out and get the check valve...

If I was in your situation I would of euthanized it with clove oil but I dont look down on what you did, I would do the same if I didnt have clove...

like with a 55g, if the stocking was 1 yellow tang, 1 tailspot blenny, 2 oc. clowns, and a fairy wrasse. would that be a reasonable stocking?
I know that everyone recommends a 90g+ tank but I have seen many many people successfully keep them in a 55g. Before I get written up by the tang...
I would go with the 75g but maybe the guy with 110g will part out and sell his light fixture separate so you could use it for the 75g.

The one I posted is probaly the cheapest but with just the basics it will probaly be $200+ and if this is your first tank, wait and get a bigger one....
I dont think you will be able to find a tank like that for that cheap, this is the closest one here but even with that tank you will need to buy rock...
