    did you maybe get it wet.. i got one of my strips a tad wet one time and it did this..after it dried went back to normal

    i have the cheap walmart 15$ one for 8 months, worked like a charm, its the one that keeps the water at 78*..and only comes on when it needs..

    acans and favia do look alike..but acans will have seperate heads if that makes sense..a favia is just a flat coral, but acans have serperate heads...
