    The 3'ers will work, it will be the same set up as mine, well kind of...I still would recommend the 4'ers but its your call.. I wouldn't keep them...

    No quality T5 fixture will fit with 8 lamps... Any decent fixture will have at smallest 2" SLRs making JUST the lamp portion 16" wide... TOO wide for...

    You use 2 MH lamps over a 55 because of the length/size of the tank, not water volume.... You could have 1 huge piece of rock in there or 0 or 100#...

    I would have to disagree... I have 3.5 wpg over my 180 and have SPS essentially to the bottom of the tank... Low light corals don't care for my tank....
