I agree with Steve, I think you should put a picture of your tank up so we can acess the situation.
Is the skeleton completely coral free or is the hammer just tucked away very tightly in it? Do you see any flesh on the skeleton part?
That is a hammer coral, similar to a frogspawn. I think it can definately recover. It still has some tissue that is obviously alive so there is...
I have a Nikon D40 and I love mine. DSLRs are really a big step over Point and shoots. Thye really do take better pictures.

Just be careful. I see you have a mixed reef, and there is like a 50/50 chance your dwarf angel will pick on coral.
I think there would be some pretty bad aggresion. You would be better off with just picking one.
