    Its most likely not the membrane, it is the carbon pre filter... How often are you changing those? Call your water plant and ask them if they use...

    I have seen PAR tests of the Solaris that was good and seeing them at trade shows they were alright.... but dim, not bright like T5 or MH... Too bad...

    I would say its fine... As long as you go with a decent fixture and lamps. Remember water quality is almost as important with SPS as lighting is!!
