Okay, so this is a weird one for me. I had some light algae, brown in color on only 1 slow flow area of my tank. I figured this was pretty normal...
You can just dunk him in a 100% vinegar if you wanna kill it. That pretty much insta kills most things reef related.
For me it would depend on what you want to keep. Full SPS reef? CC, you will be able to put way more flow through it. Anything else, a course dry...
