    On the box it says it's meant for up to 75 gallons. If it were too small wouldn't it constantly stay on? It doesn't ever seem to turn on to heat....

    I did use the calculator. For 2inches on a 48 x 18 it is 82 pounds and on a 48 x12 it shows 54 pounds. The bow threw me off. I went with 80. But...
