Hard to tell from the photo. I am leaning to Pocillopora is I am seeing the start to a couple of branches.
This is the way you want to go if you do not want a canopy as the diffuser definitely reduces light to the tank and small fish can get through.
Congrats, the best way to know if your clams are healthy is look for white shell growth beneath the mantle.
You can normally get better flow, less dead spots with more heads. If you do I would suggest getting 4 550s in the Hydors.
