Great idea, I hope a lot of new guys to the hobby see this, and realize how hard these animals are to keep in a newer system. Another way to get pods...
I need to get to it I guess, I have some old ones, but will take new pics for you guys
I skimmed through this one (87 pages, wow, LOL) and it looks great so far! I like the deep blue backround, and nice corals :)
12" through the air was something like 6-800 par, not 400
I give them at least 3-4 years average, more if you take care of them (avoid splashes, run them under 100%, and keep the room cool and dry)
I have been doing this for over 2 years now, I run all LED except over my chaeto tank (another system to post about:)) and have been doing so for 7...
Thanks!
WOW, what a beautiful collection! I especially love the emperor angelfish!
If you use a grounding probe, you are just delaying the voltage leak, when the ground rod falls out, it will not be pretty, unless of course you use...
Cool tank! Those planted tanks are pretty nice, especially for fresh water.
With a low budget tunze is the way to go for sure. I would reccomend an mp10, just save up and buy a used one, you can get one used for like $150
24" through water, 12" off the water
What are the signs of a healthy tank? To me it is healthy, eating, fish, small amounts of nuisance algaes, good coral growth, color, and polyp...
I will be adding a new angelfish, and a trio of anthias once they are out of qt in a few weeks.
Hi, I am new to 3 reef, but not forums or reefing. Here are some shots of my 125 gallon, they are a couple months old. [IMG]
Why mix them? Just use one up, then the next, and order a new batch when the time comes. The parameters will not be affected much
Not at all, the whites were only at 55%, not 100% like the radion. I tested the same fixture and got over 200 par at 24"
+1, make sure that nh3, no2, and no3 are all 0 before adding anything.
Sweet! closed loops are definitely a great way to keep powerheads out of the tank. What kind of corals do you plan?
2" makes little difference, may be 10-20 par max
Separate names with a comma.
