I forget off the top of my head what is in Selcon, but sounds like oxidation. It probably has gone bad. I do always refrigerate, most vitamins and...
Btw, if that was cryptic, PE is a feeding response. In nature it tends to happen at night, not during the day, probably becasue there is less risk...
What does PE have to do with anything? You said you have good growth and color. Is there a reason you wish your corals were more hungry when the...
I'm looking for a new external, self-priming pump, to move water around from buckets, barrels, tanks etc... Don't need anything special, should be...
Can't really help with your questions, but congrats, that thing looks sweet! Nice tank too ;)
I've never been a freshwater guy, but I really always look forward to your videos. Keep up the good work and keep posting!
Do you have a picture? Based on the info you've provided, it could be anything. Maybe even just spirobids...
My RKL died twice. Less then a year old the first time. They did replace, but it was a headache. The second time it died less than a year after...
Have you ruled out red bugs? They can be very tough to see and do result in loss of PE and fading colors. Also, the timeframe seems about right....
what size tank and how old? It's not necessarily a great match of fish, especially in smaller tanks. Hawks can be aggressive, even if you don't...
A lot of white LEDs use the same phosphor coatings as T-5s and have similar spectral outputs. All this garbage about LEDs not being "full spectrum"...
Cool man, I always liked your SPS tank. You did well with it and definitely have a shot with NPS. There aren't many truly successful NPS tanks...
No, not really. The differences will be relatively small though, if all things, lenses, spectral output etc.. were the same. In reality these...
That simply isn't accurate. Lumens can really only be accurately used to compare diodes, for our purposes, if the output is exactly the same spectral...
Good fish, keep well fed to keep from picking. Also, you probably know that they are venomous, but just an fyi in case. Always one of my favorites...
Do you have a reference for that, with regards to PAR (i.e. not lux or lumens.)?
It doesn't need to be a species only tank, just an invert only tank. They are only toxic to fish. However, if a fish dies, it can kill corals too,...
Congrats on the new tank! I agree though, if you want your tank do do well and be diverse, stay away from the devilfish ;D
If you have to ask, stay away.... Sorry, but as mentioned, there is debate about their safety, and the reality is, if they die, they can kill off...
+2, a skimmer won't work with that small of a volume of water. It's more likely to empty your entire tank on the floor than remove any organics....
