    velvet algea attack!

    I used chemi pures brand of red slime remover in my 29 years ago and had no coral deaths. Its reef safe, i do remember having to turn the skimmer off...

    Pristine water, keep or throw out?

    Why would u throw it out? When u cure live rock and cycle a tank its usually in the aquarium your are cycling and u dont drain yer tank and refill...

    Its just that the spectra liter does auto waterchanges for you if u buy the equipment. Seems like with a small skimmer and 1-1.5 gallon daily water...
