    Sounds like you are doing all you can do. Cuprisorb is good. Carbon will also help. I would do a larger water change, probably at least around 30%.

    How much does your skimmer pull?

    I have to empty mine about once a month or so. Mine is a ASM G4+. I pull about 1/3 a gallon per week.

    Water Pumps

    I would say the rio or a maxi-jet. Just any cheap pump with flex tubing and a ball valve will do the job.
