I would say one will work with proper optics. Check out Reef Breeder's website.
One could make an argument that this is something that needs addressing ASAP. If his powerhead won't stay attached, he can't keep it turned on, thus...
Clean it and the glass that it is sticking to very well (without chemicals of course). I agree with the comment on magnets.
Ever consider DIY?
My LFS runs a 20,000 K on one of his tanks and it is stunning. Noticeable growth every week that I visit him.
Very good deal. I would guess that the tank and stand it's self are worth near that much, as are the lights individually. I don't like bow fronts,...
You just started your 75 and you're already upgrading to a 90? That's a lot of work for a 14 year old. Congrats and the set up.

Is a heat sink necessary with the thermal pads? I may add this kit to my canopy one day.
How high up are you mounting them? It may not really be necessary.
If you do go with wood, you can coat the wood in a clear polyurethane of some sort (I.E. deck covering).
Has anyone tried or considered running a few of these over a larger tank with ceramic lighting fixtures mounted underneath a canopy? Maybe have a...
I applied one coat of latex paint to the frame. I'll add a second coat in a bit. The objective of the white paint is to reflect any stray light back...
