    Are MH's really necessary?

    It really depends on WHERE you want to keep things. T5's will only be good down to about 20" or so. MH will give you much better penetration

    You can get PH buffers. Theres various types out there. Just add it to the water, no reason for a water change. 2 weeks is very fast for a cycle IMO....
