    That should be plenty then. If it doesn't work out you can always go back to T-5. Post some pics when you get it on the tank.

    Nitrates are fine but was there any ammonia or nitrite? What's the salinity? Being that water was added and low salinity can cause rapid breathing....

    Fixture size for 55G 48" long tank

    It will fit fine. They make it to where the light covers completely on the sides. Its meant for the tank you have. It should also take 54 watt bulbs
