    hmm...It's a 75g - so the tank is 21" deep. The sandbed will be about 2"

    I try to keep mine about 2" tops. I find that helps with turning it over. If it is too deep then your cuc can't get under it. that's just my opinion...

    by sump I assume you mean a refugium? Many people have the refugium and skimmer both in the sump. Then the overflow line would split and go to both....

    You could probably "tee" it off so you have RO for drinking and RODI for your tank.
