oh well i don't exactly know how your skimmer works but there should be some sort of valve or tube or something that will restrict how much water...
just lower the bubble line in the skimmer

looks like some saltwater is getting under the magnet and causing rust bubbles or im guessing thats what those are.

well there you go if the water is coming out of your main tank then the params should be perfect and cycled rock doesn't give off ammonia or nitrite...
