    I'd say go ahead and add it... are you planning on live rock or dry rock? my recommendation is dry rock... not only is it going to save you money...

    soaking in vinegar is a good idea...I would also get to the impeller, and clean out the insides with a new toothbrush or something similar...

    you probably wouldn't want to use the sponges with biopellets, use a screen mesh like the stuff from the craft store instead... it's easy to cut and...

    I have to agree about using kalk paste, but the syringe +attachments that the aiptasia x kit comes with are the best!

    I agree that water and salt should be mixed first before adding any sand or live rock... you will get the best results this way... Also, Get a TDS...

    Nitrates, live rock, and bio-pellets

    IME, the lower the nitrates, the better for SPS growth and color... It's possible to get to zero with a heavily stocked tank and generous feeding...
