Well I've had mine for a few yrs now and so far so good with the corals.and as of now its been ok with my clam that has been in there 8 plus months...
coming out nice,always wanted to make one..cool looking tortoise in the first pick..

I have an octo nw110 and keep it at 9 inch deep.but the key is having a steady depth for your skimmer to run at tip top function...HTH..

I'm using the ARM coarse at 6.9 / 7 and it seems very happy..going with 30 bubbles/min and efluent rate of approx 1-1/2 qt/hr...every couple months...
I have 2.one spikey(small)and one 8"black smooth looking ..great additions.def by far my hardest workers of my cuc..

Just got around to putting in my 2 1050's and love them..awesome replacement to the 2 modded mj1200's...
I to have the same RKL,and love it,best purchase I have made by far..I also agree about the programing,the instructions are soo bad...I'm very glad...
I leave mine dirty so the snails have something to snack on..but you don't really notice it..
It will go finr.just take your time.I found the worst/time consuming part was resetting up the rock work..just have some back up saltwater and lg...

Maybe You possible hold classes for noobs(or people who buy there first tank set up from you) on how to maintain chemistry,spgr,how to properly...
I did a 48" bar(actually it was an alum ruler),cause my tank is 48 across.you may need less...im not sure of the exact distance apart as I eye balled...
You could go the DIY route(led supplement).place them on a nice alum bar add a dim ballast and there u go..should run u 50-100 bucks...cost me around...
