If you can find one get a 12 gallon nano cube. You upgrade the lighting to LED's like gu10 bulbs (There's a thread about this on Nano Reef) and...
You said 50x overturn, that's 4500 GPH. You would need 1 MP40 and one MP10 to achieve that. That's a lot of money, I would go with Koralias, Sicce...
The hippo tang will outgrow this tank :(
Give him a bad review on the forum
I would watch for infection and parisites. I would give the betta something to boost it's ammune system and something to give it a large slime coat
I would also just get a mated pair of cardinals, unless you know the gender of the fish.
Pep shrimp and angelfish might nip corals.
I agree with this

And unfortunately your friend at the LFS gave you bad advise. Just catching the fish will be really tiring and annoying. :(
Longnose, I've heard that these fish have a good success rate in reefs.
Too small for any tang, I agree with chelsea and look into dwarf angelfish.
They are similar to Miami Hurricanes and Fire & Ice, so they won't sell for much though they are beautiful.
Hope the power comes back on for ya' :) If you post pics of your clownfish I can ID them.
Looks very nice ;) How long is the tank? If it's four feet long I would get some other fish, maybe a butterfly fish?
Any info on your aquarium?
They'll eat inverts, even urchins but not corals. If you use epoxy, pvc pipes, etc to support the rock work they shouldn't be to much of a problem....
Orchid dottyback, probably the second most peaceful dottyback.
Does it have a good camera? My computer is semi broken and is mute right now.
Very nice write-up, do you buy the LED's separately?
