Its not wireless. I think you would have to plug the reefkeeper into a wireless router and connect the router wirelessly to your network.
Research is a start to anything. And you will figure it out. Walk into it blind and you'll be going for a ride. 8)

In general, look for pests (hair algae, aiptasia anemones, majano anemones etc.) that you do not want to have to battle with. I prefer light porous...

I would say Some padding for under the tank, make sure corners and edges all have something on them and throw a tarp or sheet over it and make sure...
If you have a friend or a LFS close by with a well established tank, I'd say get it off them. There's not really no one specific kind of live rock...
Small piece of live rock would help but sand if live would also do the trick. IMO I'd get the rock. 8)
