    how do you clean out a venturi?

    yeah I use a syringe to inject ro water into the tube...it sucks it right up and gets rid of the salt build up. works great

    Filter Sock replacement?

    Your skimmer should be getting the stuff that the filter sock would get. If it doesn't it just settles at the bottom of your sump and you vacuum...

    I don't run them unless I want to clear up the water. Here is how I look at it. If you are using a filter sock, you are passing 100% of your water...

    Water changes are such an opinionated topic. I have always changed about 10% per week. some people do 20% every 2 weeks, 20% per week. etc......
