I went straight across. The live rock contains your bacteria. As long as parms are in check and identical, you should be fine to just move...
I hope that all helps you out a bit. last time I moved tanks in my living room, this is how I did it on a larger scale. I went from a 55 to a 150.
Here is what I would do. Mix all new water. make sure the temp, ph, SG, is the same as what is in your old tank. This is all very important....
That would work but....you could do LED's for that price.
Just did a "semi" water test. Ammonia = 0, Nitrite = 0, Nitrate = 5 PPM. Looks like the bio spira has done it's job.
