I'm retarded, I thought it said you made 100 pounds of DIY Rock..... I retract my statement, which was of course, poorly typed.
Yeah but this should last about 10-15 years before you need to replace anything. 1300 barely covers MH bulbs let alone the fixture, and MH are not...
It mostly like low PH from the DIY rock. Rock can take 6-8 months to cure to an appropriate ph level.
You need Alk and Ca tests. Mg is a good idea too
That makes sense. I wonder what the limitation there may be on these light with color spectrum. Can't wait for Trent to get a couple lol
Nice Matt, what would you consider the kelvin spectrum to e. 10k-12k?
You should come to billings and fix my tank then.
^^ this.
I agree, regretfully, i want to see this. I had a stray grey and brown hermit get to the size of a larger 'shooter' marble that is my biggest.
I agree with Cheryl, its super tough to have long term success but its in your tank now best to try.
Yeah those are the polyps, you can get some food like rods, or coral frenzy and soak it in selcon, then turn off the pumps when you see good polyp...
Try Lophogorgia chilensis and see what you get
Im sure there is a common name like fiery whip coral or something, but it will need appropriate targeted feedings. Have you seen polyps on it?
I think 10 is plenty high
Non photosynthetic gorgonian
I don't care much for LED's under 400nm due to the harmful radiation. That is increased by the proximity of the corals and lights in the cube. I bet...
thats wierd
most LFS use cheap, old teat kits. I dont trust them.
I got your back Jerry
