    yes they should but, if you put 1.026 water in a hydrometer it should read...well 1.026 but this, most of the time, isn't the case.

    I will NEVER run a tank without a cal reactor again. I use a lifereef calcium reactor with ARM media and milwaukee gauges and ph controller.
