wow, thats a lot of home made rock :) looks good, now you need to soak it for a few weeks till it stops affecting the PH
sounds like either an intermittant ground connection or one of the bulbs are not properly seated.
thats a good question, I would assume your correct, but I have no way to test that parameter :P

Most of the rock in my 90 is from MarcoRocks, i'll probably never buy anything but from now on.
stay away from the crushed coral, it just traps a bunch of detritus and then becomes a nitrate factory if your cuc is not up to the task.
