    Well not sure what happend, but I think when I get the tank lifted off the stand I'm gonna find that it is cracked, the corner seams all look okay...

    tap water top off with skimmer problem

    +1 on the above, the skimmer will go nuts with most conditioners Give it a little bit it may settle down, if not may have to switch back to RO

    Its more added light to your system, more light can = more algea, its kinda the reverse of reducing your light period to get rid of algea.
