    10k are too yellow for my taste. 20k look nice, but you sacrifice too much coral growth. 14K are a nice middle ground.

    Well, it certainly could be dead, though MH bulbs usually last a lot longer than reefers keep them. Unfortunatly, the ballast could be to blame too....
