    Nope. Although, hard plumbing (PVC piping) for the drain line will be a plus. More secure as it's less likely to leak.

    No. Buy an eShopps PF-300 overflow. I have one and it is a flawlessly designed overflow. Inexpensive too.

    You must use a gravity fed overflow. You can get away with one canister filter as your return pump, but if you are trying to use two canister filters...

    You may need to raise your Magnesium level. Typically, for every 1ppm Calcium, you need 3.25ppm Magnesium to prevent loss of Calcium from solution....

    You should run your lights differently. The blues should go on first and shut off last, so 12-10 for the blues (actinics) and 1-9 for the whites...
