    Redid the entire sump.

    have you thought of using PVC instead of flexible hose? that way you dont have to use metal hose clamps and no flow restrictions

    To sock or not to sock??

    microscopic stuff will then be picked up by your skimmer and the sock would not be the problem. i use a 200 micron sock
