65 gallon for a blue throat would be a big no no. Very awesome fish, kept multiple triggers in my 75 gallon before I had a disease kill all of them...

Why couldn't it? 4 weeks is about the cycle time of a tank that hasn't used bacteria additives. What are ammonia/nitrite/nitrate?

When I introduced my shrimp they both molted within a week. I'd take my guess that the hermit got them while they were molting.
