    you have never heard of vodka dosing it is supposed to bind po0 and no3 together and then the skimmer takes it out it turns the skimmate black but...

    i always used a syringe from a doctor friend and inject with squeezed lemon and if they get big or in a open spot just pluck them with a rubber glove...

    about a month and a half at first i saw results with the skim mate being really black and then the skimmer didn't really get as much for awhile and...

    that pet place/fish place is one of my favorites its like a two hour drive for me but i love their fish room and they have the best customer service...
