    60" T5 setup over a 72" tank works great. To save cash, look into retro setups instead of pre-made fixtures. ~Will.

    lights look brighter than normal

    Maybe they look brighter because the water is clearer. . . did you add in a filter sock, change out old carbon with fresh, or do anything else...
